Location: Centro de Enseñanza de Español La Herradura Montevideo is located in the bustling city of Montevideo, Uruguay's capital city, along Montevideo Bay. The school is housed in the prominent Cordón area of downtown Montevideo, between the streets of Charrua and Guana. The area is ripe with commerical shopping, eateries, restaurants and amenities whilst also being within walking distance of several of the city's attractions. Such sites of interest include the National Museum of Visual Arts, the José Enrique Rodó park, the Rodó Castle and much more.
Course selection: Centro de Enseñanza de Español La Herradura Montevideo offers a range of courses suitable for students of all levels and various ages and interests. In addition to General Spanish taught over several schedules and intensities, the school promotes many other learning experiences, such as living and learning on a rural ranch. Spanish for 60+, Business Spanish, Teacher Training, and DELE Exam Preparation programmes are also available at various times throughout the year, as are junior programmes for students aged 8-17 years. Private tuition can be taken in conjunction with or independently from any other course or programme.
Accommodation: The school offers accommodation in Homestay with local families and in the school residence. Both options come with bed linen and towels included. Options for a private bedroom in the school residence are subject to availability.

“Nothing. I arrived and Margo, the school’s manager, lied to me and tried to give me half of the lessons I paid for, just because I was the only beginner. I don't care if that would be one-on-one, I paid for 20 hours and I expect to get 20 hours! Horrible!”

School's reply: Hola Or, we really regret your negative review which is based on only 1 day of lessons. As there was no group at your level, you received 2 one to one lessons instead of the 4 group lessons. We had explained this to you on the Monday that you arrived as it is part of our policy and this is also clearly stated on the school´s homepage. The misinterpration of the facts is a mistake on your behalf and we regret your decision to leave our program after only 1 day of lessons. This review is an inaccurate reflection of reality as is shown by our other reviews and we hope that you learn from this that you cannot turn up to places without reading their policy first and try to demand what you want just because you feel a certain way.

The registration/inscription fee includes: textbook and photocopies, coffee or tea during the morning break (Mondays and Fridays with cake), guided walk in the school’s area on the first day, organization of activities, a lecture talk and certificate of attendance.
