Off the North West shore of Africa lies the Spanish archipelago known as the Canary Islands. These volcanic islands boast black and white sandy beaches. Tenerife is the largest of the islands and is home to the Mount Teide volcano, which is the highest peak in Spain. It has spectacular beaches including Playa de las Américas and Playa de Las Teresitas. Lanzarote, whilst not being one of the biggest islands, has a lot of interesting activities for visitors including Jameos del Agua, Timanfaya National Park and Playa Blanca. To the south of the island of Gran Canaria is the Playa del Inglés, which is popular in the summer months.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions about Spanish courses in Spain
- I would like to take a senior course in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Is that possible?“The schools in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria do not offer senior courses, but the average ages in the general courses are between 25 and 34 years old! So I suspect you could do well in a general Spanish course as well. You could book some private lessons (1-3 per week) to really absorb the material. ”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Dutch Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Oct 28, 2022
