Location: Anglophiles Summer School Torquay is a junior summer school located in the seaside resort town of Torquay in Devon, England. The school is housed in Barton Hall Adventure Centre on the English Riviera and has many facilities and attributes that are sure to offer junior students a memorable experience during their summer stays.
Course selection: Anglophiles Summer School Torquay has a few immersive summer programmes for juniors that offer a variety of activities and happenings. These courses include Club 5 - Intensive English, English and Fashion, and English and Multi Activities.
All programmes include lessons, accommodation, meals, activities, excursions and 24-hour security and assistance. Allergies, intolerances and special diets are catered for.
School facilities: The school facilities include a canteen, a lake, an indoor activity zone, an outdoor heated swimming pool, a teacher's lounge, a bar and a shop.
Accommodation: The accommodation is on campus, offering a stay within the main house with en-suite rooms which sleep 4-10 students and chalets for 4-6 students.
Social and cultural: These junior courses are filled with fun-filled activities and happenings to ensure that all junior students enjoy interacting with their international peers whilst gaining invaluable English practice. Activities that take place at Barton Hall can include campfires, archery tag, Cluedo, capture the flag, crepe making, discos, karaoke, silent discos, quiz nights and much more.

Special note for 2025 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2025 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
