ISC (The Independent Schools Council)
The Independent Schools Council (ISC) is a combination of 7 associations of independent schools in the UK. The association was founded to advance and preserve the independent education sector and ensure that a quality service for students is upheld by all it's members.
Requirements ISC member schools need to fulfill | One basic requirement for a school to be a member of ISC is that the head of the organisation must be a member of the GSA, HMC, IAPS, ISA or The Society of Heads.The school must also be designed for young learners between the ages of 5 and 18 years and located in the UK or Republic of Ireland. |
Complaint/arbitration procedure offered by ISC | A complaint against a member school must first be made to the Head Teacher of the school, where the school will follow their Complaints Policy. If this is not resolved satisfactorily, the student can appeal to the Governing Body. |
