ABLS (The Accreditation Body for Language Services)ABLS

The Accreditation Body for Language Services (ABLS) is an accreditation scheme supported by the UK government to assess the quality of service for English language schools within the UK and providers abroad who teach English as a second language. The language schools within the UK offer courses and services for short-term visa students.
Requirements ABLS member schools need to fulfill

A school can achieve accreditation from ABLS if it meets the following criteria:

- the legal requirements stipulated by the local jurisdiction are met, basic health and safety legislation are followed and there is management responsible for the upkeep of these;

- the student is given a positive study environment to reach their full potential;

- teachers hold the necessary qualification and experience to provide students with a high level teaching experience. Teachers are given the resources to excel and grow professionally;

- students who request accommodation throughout their stay are given checked options with a member of staff available to ensure their welfare.
