What our students said about Galway

5.0

Rating: 5/5

The language school is located in the immediate city centre. Apart from many advantages, this has the disadvantage that the daily lunch in the heavily frequented city centre is very expensive. A minimum of 10 Euros is to be expected in each case. But the offer is very varied. The public transport is offered on the line 407, which was used to reach my host family, only every half hour and on Sundays as well as in the evening hours only once per hour. The bus is always at least 5 minutes late during rush hours. It also happened that the bus did not come at all.

A wonderful city! Full of music and friendly locals. Within easy walking distance of important tourist attractions, such as the Cliffs of Moher, which can be reached for an inexpensive price by public transport. A well-developed network of travel agencies that also offer trips to more distant places for reasonable prices.

Galway is worth a visit, a beautiful city with lots of attractions. Live Irish music in the pubs is sensational. Residents friendly, smiling whatever the weather.

I met excellent teachers. They used very good methods to help with language learning. If I can, I will come back one day. I returned home with lifelong memories, I had a lot of experiences. I got to know interesting people.

I felt very comfortable in this language school. Small class sizes, different levels, very friendly and open-minded teachers. The teachers rotate so that I also had the pleasure of being taught by different teachers. Everyone has their own methods and approach. I not only learned English there, but also a lot about the country and its people and this has not been limited to Ireland. The classes are mixed differently: different backgrounds, different cultures, different mother tongues. Through the group work, you have the opportunity to learn about all these, to get into conversation and make friends at the same time. The school itself offers various leisure activities and additional hours. Bus tours can also be booked and paid for at the school.

Teachers MARTIN & EVANS - these two are the best.
Martin, my afternoon teacher, is one of the most talented, I have no words to describe him. I never saw or met someone so sensible and close to the students. The way he interacts is really amazing!! I hope next year when I return for my IELTS course, he can still be there.

Facilities (including PCs) are not very new though, there is free WiFi in the school. So, you don't have any problems, if you take your device with you. FAQ about schools in Galway

  • Many schools in summer organize junior programmes comprising course + activity programme + accommodation in a residence or host family (with full board). However, most of these programmes end the last week of July, or the first week of August. If you can't move your travel dates, we have an ultra-comprehensive programme, "Study and Live in Your Teacher's Home", which allows you to organize both your course and activities more freely, where you study and live in your teacher's home for rapid and complete language progress.
