What our students said about Porto
Gorgeous! I found the city safe, welcoming and cosy. Very beautiful with colourful sights and a rich cultural life. I was also pleased with the gastronomic abundance - there are numerous cafes and restaurants in the city where you can try any cuisine of the world. I would especially like to emphasise the friendliness and friendliness of Porto's inhabitants towards the guests of their city.
A very recommendable city. The only thing is that I would no longer travel there in November, as I arrived at school with wet shoes almost every day, despite an umbrella. It simply rained too often. Excursions to other cities, such as Braga or Coimbra, are highly recommended.
Porto is a multi-faceted, culturally very interesting, lively and invigorating city, but at the moment with countless noisy construction sites that hinder traffic. The metro works well, but some bus lines are extremely unreliable. Good food can be found in many places.
I like the mixture of old buildings and new attractions. It wasn't so crowded in winter. In summer it is perhaps a little too touristy. It's a shame that so many small shops and restaurants away from the pedestrianised area have been closed and abandoned.
Porto is beautiful city, the center is small enough to be visited by feet and public transports takes you anywhere. Many typical foods, and a lot of history to be discovered. Amazing view points and enough activities for different taste.
It's not the city I would like to live in. But for a stay of two or more weeks, Porto is very exciting and has a lot to offer. It's great fun to discover and experience the very different neighbourhoods.
Porto seems to me a pleasant and easy city to walk around in spite of its slopes and the pavement of some of its streets. The distances are not big. Good food. Recommended city.
It’s really difficult not to fall in love with the city. There are so many interesting things to see and do, and it’s a perfect base for daily trips to other cities nearby.
You have to "conquer" Porto. It is not as nice and warm as Lisbon right from the beginning. But the more you know the place the more interesting and gratifying it becomes.
One of the best, it is now my favourite city in Europe and I've been to many. The friendliness of people, the relaxed atmosphere and the food are exceptional.

Very homely! The assistant Ana is very helpful. Ernesto, the director, is very friendly. Marta, the teacher, was very good! We were only 4 students in the group, from 30-70 years old! The small group size means you learn more! The teaching material was also good, as was the structure of the lessons.
The location is very central in a side street of Rua de Santa Catarina, a shopping street in the historic city centre. The nearest metro station is Bolhão. I would love to come back!

The school was really welcoming and Vanessa worked so hard as our teacher. I enjoyed the classes and made a lot of progress in confidence with listening. It was a nice atmosphere in a class where I felt able to contribute.
It's very small - only 2 groups. I thought there would be a level test at the start and several groups but really just beginners and then all the rest in one group. That means in group 2 some people are out of their depth and others are having to wait while things are explained that they already know. I think people should know this setup in advance.

The presentation of the material is easy, interesting, and the learning is not stressful at all. Here, however, it is not tedious textbook learning, more emphasis is placed on the conversational part, all kinds of interactivity.
